Its kinda tricky finding an affiliate offer that will earn big with a proxy. So I mainly run ebay affiliates just to get my cookie on the users computer so I can earn a percentage when their parent makes a buy. Ive tried busted tees and threadless affiliates before and while I earned a few bucks with busted and a free shirt with threadless they didnt convert too well.

I did not think about ebay affiliates, cookie planting ect.. I will have to test this one out and see how well it converts for me.

You guys are forgetting something Most proxy users from schools dont buy stuff from ebay using school computers lol, the cookie remains in the school's computer. And even in the workplace people dont buy stuff from ebay at work so again teh cookie trapped in their computer is useless.

I don't think affiliates would convert too well as people generally don't make purchases at school or work.

Try using affiliates who has something related to privacy online..

Exactly and this why Adnetworks don't like proxies becuase its non-converting traffic. Stop using the Easy CPM and PPC ads, join Commision juction,neverblueads or something etc.. replace everything on your proxy with only Affiliate banners and see how hard it to make a buck.

But I've using neverblueads and the dating ads seem to convert.

I like maxbounty - think it converts okay for people completing surveys etc. I always add a link to one of my surveys in a newsletter

Do these surveys offer click incentives? For eg. Is it ok to place the affiliate survey link there with a text saying please support us by filling up this short survey to keep us running. Will that be fine?

Some stuff you can't even put on a proxy, it will be blocked by the filter. lol
I think I mentioned this before in some other thread. But if your using Globalinteractive for example which gets ads loaded from yieldmanager. and you have alot of Poker ads appearing it will be blocked as "gambling" etc, or if you ads appearing with some sexy dressed women (adult related ads) it probably will be blocked as "adult" or more likely from what I've noticed is the ads goes to zango where the user has to install zango to see the porn, which may be blocked as "spyware/security risk".

Not sure if it matters becuase thats beyond your control and applies to anywebsites being viewed by anyone beyond a filter so it applies to any sites.
But if you using affiliate stuff you want to put something on the proxy that will get threw and have conversions
