My Glype proxies hacked
I didnt delete setup.php since I wanted to be able to edit the prefences later, and am a lazy arse.
So some wanker came along and changed the site url to his own. ![]() Now my proxies redirect to his site(s). Here they are(the wanker/hacker's sites) : Code: http://goopler.net/If you are/know the owner of any of the above, give him a real thrashing will you? Lessons learnt: 1. Delete setup.php 2. Some people are so stupid, they cant make money off even proxies. - hence they need to use unfair/idiotic means. 3. Dont cuss at your hosting provider - he will cuss back in broken english. |

RE: My Glype proxies hacked
did you change includes/settings.php back to 644 after setting up your site?
on a side note both the .com's for browse-queen & unblockusonline are available, maybe get some type-in traffic. RE: My Glype proxies hacked
Well lesson learned,
I'm a lazy arse too, But I usually rename them to setupxxx8897.php or something and just rename it back when needed. Nick from glype should add a password function to it, just have to have a config.php with a pass in it for it. |

RE: My Glype proxies hacked
Yea, I saw the whois to and emailed them. Besmir Bregasi contacted me and said he didnt do it.
But his yahoo ID was bbcracker155 something, so he doesnt sound to trustworthy in any case ![]() Thats a good idea Dollar, think i'll rename them too instead of deleting them. Btw, anyone know which files should i rewrite to upgrade glype from 5.0 to 5.1? |

anions Wrote:Btw, anyone know which files should i rewrite to upgrade glype from 5.0 to 5.1? I replaced all files & folders except for the template folder (templates for v5 stayed the same, v4 < are different). That means you will need re-do your setup |

RE: My Glype proxies hacked
Oh man that shucks. I have yet to use glype yet as my current phproxy has its own mods to work properly. We are waiting in anticipation for the new re-branded Zelune proxy! Their new script will be released after 25th Feb with a lot more new features which are better than glype's current features.
If your glype proxies can get hacked so easily, I encourage you to wait till the new release of a re-branded zelune script

RE: My Glype proxies hacked
I know the owner of those 2 proxies.
These are hosted with me. Will try to contact the owner and talk to him about he same. But from what i know he is not someone who will do it to steal your traffic. But nevertheless, that a lesson learnt. |

RE: My Glype proxies hacked
Talked to the guy who owns browse-queen and unblockusonline. And going by his words he didnt do that. And i guess he was right, if he was a cracker or a hacker(to harm someone), he would have redirected ur proxies to a site which had domain privacy enabled. If he was smart(i would say smart because it was ur fault that u left the setup file there) enough to hack ur sites then why will he do such a mistake so that he can be caught easily?
Anyways the bottom line IMO is Be Careful from next time on

Lord_Anubis Wrote:GETPROKSY.INFO can be found in DP - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthrea...=GETPROKSY Thanks to your finding, that thread id mine. But seems someone missed the other details you provided and gave me a small RED REPP at DP with a comment saying "glooper.net" . Whoever the utter idiot is, he should know the facts before doing such silly things. The guy who gave the red repp there have gutts to come here in front and admit that he did that? |
