Right now I'm running on 2GB, maybe you guys would like to see some stats to help out with a few things Wink2

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6550
RAM: 2GB DDR2-667
HDD: WD 320GB SATA

Script: Glype.

Today, my stats are: Uniques: 1091; Pages Served: 144372; Files Served: 213078; Bandwidth; 2.41 GB;

I have 2GB of RAM and going to upgrade it to 4GB until was told that my machine can only support 2GB. Looks like Im needing to change box soon.

I always run high ram servers no less then 3-4 gigs to get decent speed on the proxy. Would love to afford a 8gig or ram server one day Happy

Regarding this question of ram...
Lets say i want to host 200 proxies.

what is best, build out one server with fastest quad cores and 8gb of ram.
or build out 2 machines that are dual core with 4gb of ram.

2 machines would definitely be better in performance but of cause the cost would jack up as well. When you have 2 servers, just in case one server gets down, you can easily point your proxies to your 2nd server to keep the uptime so its good there as well.

I've currently got 256mb on my VPS , running 3 proxies. They load very fast.

Im upgrading to 512mb in the next couple of days though, and adding another 7 or so proxies.
