I would be curious to know how members get lots of traffic. I submit my sites to top lists, usually about 100 and then send to some newsletter services but after a short time it seems that the visitors stop coming.

Is it wise to get listed on Proxy.org, I have read mixed reviews of that. Some say that is the top place to go others say stay away.

My 3 main ways

Any Proxy Topsites, Adbux, bux.to

No. Never waste your money on proxy topsites, imho they bring useless traffic from iran and china etc.

I had friends who paid money to submit to topsites, one of them paid $20 to submit a link to proxy.org

He told me the results are 13 UVs minimum in a day and 31 UVs max for a day according to awstats. That's pathetic..

Email lists are good from what I hear though I have never tried them. It could be your proxy was blocked thus the going down of traffic. Could also be a down server? Slowness in loading pages? Lot's of possibilities.

Newsletters and bulletins work the best, you just gotta make sure you pay for a quality bulletin.

If you dont want to spend money, topsites will bring in some traffic but only indirectly from proxy blogs that copy the topsites list of proxies.

Hmm is just puzzling as to how come lots of people bother to submit to top sites when as you guys mentioned that topsites aren't that good. Is it cause of teh difference of teh $ wise in the different promotion meothds?

One thing i've learned during the years that i've been online is to try everything yourself!
Just because a method doesn't work for someone else doesn't always mean it's not going to work for you. I've been told that topsites are useless and they are more of a bad thing for your proxy because they slow down your proxy from all of the buttons that you have on your proxy. But people were telling me this after I already had established my proxy which i promoted through proxy topsites, and i didn't pay them a single penny.

In conclusion, you're best of trying all methods yourself as you truly won't know what works and doesn't work for you until you try it yourself!!!

On a side note: I'm also doing my own experiment with proxy.org i will be posting up stats and writing my experience from this experiment in 1 months time.

Numbers 1,2 and 4 work for me. Every time i link exchange i don't get any maybe because people don't spend time looking at the site so they just use the bypass

We havent got a good answer yet. some say topsites are good and some says topsies arent. lets start a poll guys
