It lets you check your adsense revenue right from your Firefox browser.

Yeah it's a nice tool. However is it safe to install on a laptop that travels around jumping from one wireless network to another all the time?

This would show the account as logging in to adsense account from many different ips and some people may be using the same ip to click on google ads so I am not sure if google will see that as clicking on own ads.
