Bannerconnect rejected my application
Bannerconnect has rejected my application lately. I sent them one of mine proxies. They said it does not comply with their TOS. Check it out please : http://mc22.info

Any ideas why could this happen? And could anyone give me an example of site, how should it look like, so I would get accepted.

Thanks

Well for one thing your proxy is 12 Million on Alexa. Bad mistake right there...
Bannerconnect is hard to get into, and from I've read here; They don't accept proxies anymore. Specially not a small guys like me or you. If you were to put in a application, for them to take you seriously yo would have to have a pretty popular website, they only accept quality websites getting lots of traffic.

Imo judging sites by Alexa is stupid and ridiculous! I mean, not everyone on the has alexa toolbar (neither do I)

RE: Bannerconnect rejected my application
Alexa is often looked at to an get idea of your traffic, 12 Million says alot about your site. It means you probably only get very small traffic. Maby only 50 people a day or zero.

It has nothing to do with participating in the toolbar. Btw if you have the toolbar installed you will help your sites get a lower ranking in Alexa Wink2

Look at vtunnel, its 8K on Alexa. It probably get a million uniques a week or something. Hard to say.

RE: Bannerconnect rejected my application
Alexa somehow does not rate proxies well. Alexa is very unreliable for proxies. 12million on alexa actually meant less than 5-10 visitors a day.

My proxies actually block alexa bots and when I tried to sell my proxy, the guy from DP thought I was a scammer with no alexa lol..

As for Bannerconnect, they actually stopped accepting proxies about 1-2 months ago. I tried with a proxy that gets 250k visitors a month and they rejected that too telling me that proxy traffic does not convert well and they have stopped accepting them. The reason why I tried to recreate another account on bannerconnect was because my first account on bannerconnect was the same username as my account on mediashakers. And because both ad networks are run on yieldmanagers RMX direct company, each time I log in to bannerconnect it will redirect me to my mediashakers panel. stupid I know..

RE: Bannerconnect rejected my application
They don't accept proxies, I was lucky to get my accont with them. I e-mailed them asking if they accept proxies, they asked me a few questions & soon enough they accepted me. Afterwards I was told by the person I was dealing with that he/she had made a mistake because they don't accept proxies but allowed my sites because they had made the mistake. So glad they did because I make 5-10x what Adbrite/Media Shakers/ GI has ever made. On a side note I just ditched Adbrite.

RE: Bannerconnect rejected my application
I wonder why they say proxy are trash traffic?
GI reports I'm getting lots of conversions everyday. These adnetworks
should do is set up a "proxy" channel like GI has and set the CPM for it to something that
makes it worthwell for them. Becuase yes proxy gets lots of impressions then a normal website per IP.
(many more) But doesn't mean its trash traffic. I think GI has made the proxy channel with a fixed
.03 - .07 eCPM and get go any higher then this. Now I've read a few posts some people someone
should make a adnetwork just for proxies. This would not work, the filter dudes would find out and
probably would block the adnetwork's ad from appearing on the proxies.

RE: Bannerconnect rejected my application COME TO MEDIASHAKERS
Mediashakers.com will gladly fill your proxy pages however please note we are not looking for the really small sites we would like to have some traffic there as our time and effort to set up an account has to be worthwhile.....

Look at our iDent ad I think most proxies can make good money from this new "smart" ad unit
