I have recently written an article on Kiloserve blog regarding advertising on Proxy Top lists. I have since given this method a shot and waiting to see results.

I could but the article contains a huge list of 200 websites and I thought it would see like spam. I can post it if you prefer.

Topsites are a great place to advertise and gain a bigger PR and its mostly free

Proxies are good to increase your PR but not the traffic to the site.

I have submitted my sites to 15-20 toplists, but I haven't seen any increase the traffic. The only change is that those images have slowed my site.

Most topsites are pretty useless for traffic, mainly they bring junk traffic from China and Iran though there are some that just bring US/UK traffic but rarely the case. Had a friend who bought the $20 link from proxy.org, he received max 31 visits and minimum of 13 visits a day as according to awstats and traffic dropped all the way down after his 1 month submission was taken off, kinda pathetic isnt it.

To be honest I think submission to proxy top sites is useless. You have a big chance to get blocked sooner + you will receive ppor traffic and your adsense account could be smartpriced.

I suggest to advertise via newsletters and via own network of proxies [of course if you have a network]
