Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
Just received this email from them.

Hello -----,

Your account has been flagged in a recent review of advertising effectiveness. After a careful review of your zones, we have found that the advertising effectiveness of your zone named Proxy Top is insufficient to qualify for our service. We have disabled the zone as a result. Your site will continue to earn money up until the zones have been disabled, and you will be paid in full for all ads that have run to date, in accordance with AdBrite’s normal payment schedule.

Typically low advertiser effectiveness is a result of a site where the site content or site design is done in a manner where users don’t engage with advertising on the page, or your site may attract visitors from a country, region, or demographic not currently targeted by our advertising community.

You are free to create additional zones if you improve your advertising effectiveness. To improve advertising effectiveness of your site, consider adding additional original content, and placing ad zones above the fold. In addition, consider only using your zone on pages with English language traffic, as our advertisers are predominately English language.

Thanks and best regards,

AdBrite Community Standards

What they said is totally crap, this proxy site alone receives more than 5,000 US visitors a day and mainly has only US and UK traffic which are considered as quality traffic. They have yet to suspend my other proxy sites though.

I am really convinced now that the more adbrite ads you have served on proxies, your ad impressions go way up but your revenue go way down. When I first started with just 1 proxy I gave them 35k ad impressions a day and they give me $5 constant earnings daily. Now when I gave them all my proxies to display ads on with over 250k ad impressions daily they give me less than $1 revenue! Adbrite sure is a ripper!

Anyone facing this issue with lesser revenue when you give them more impressions?

RE: Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
I too got the same email today. And that too was for a zone on proxified page. A few days ago i sent them an email asking if adbrite ads are allowed on proxified pages, They replied saying "yes, its allowed" . So even this email was kinda strange, May be i will email then again and try to ask about the exact reasons, as this email talks about the broader problems nothing in particular.

I sent an email to etology(its doing great on a few of my websites) to ask them if they allow ads on proxified pages, but they said a straight NO NO to proxies.

So I guess i am goinna try globalinteractive now(already using adversal but need some CPM one's too)

RE: Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
About 1 week ago some adbrite publishers were rejected simply because their sites were proxies and Adbrite even changed their ToS saying no more proxies are allowed, but it appears they reverted their ToS back to what it was previously.

Imo they stop serving mainly because my proxies are bringing them too much impressions on the proxified pages yet they dont convert. The surprising thing is that adbrite always records about 200k impressions with less than 5 clicks while my canep and global networks record about 100 clicks each daily. So I am unsure if Adbrite has their clicks system recorded properly.

Also the other issue is that when I look on my proxy they show it as 200+ UVs daily in adbrite stats while google analytics shows it as 5k+ visitors daily. It seems like Adbrite counts unique visitors by unique ips though it appears that there are few hundred students using the same school's ip to use my proxy.

RE: Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
I always had that feeling about adbrite. I use them at a few sites of mine(non proxy), page impressions and clicks always reduce when adbrite is used(but i have that insect inside me to keep rotating ads).
Yes, i agree it must be the conversion rate which lead to the deactivatin of zone.

RE: Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
Right now of about 8 proxies in adbrite, only 1 is making about 70 cents a day. The rest of my proxies are delivering more impressions than this new proxy yet they are earning about 10 cents each a day only. I am kicking Adbrite out of my proxies. Do you know if widgetbucks still allow their widgets to be displayed on proxified pages? They do better than Adbrite in this sense.

Have already sent an email to WB asking about the same, waiting for a reply from their side. GI can be a good alternative too

RE: Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
This is definently reason enough to have one zone per proxy. What category was that zone in and what is your show other ads ecpm? Thats odd to be deactivated because of a low conversion rate. Are you able to create another zone for that url?

Mine was under Technology > Network Security

Yes I tried and i was able to create another zone for the same domain.

Anyways I already have started using GI ads on proxified pages of that site.

Theres one problem, think about what ads are going to be served under network security. You probally wont have this problem under a more general category

RE: Adbrite stopped serving ads to my proxy!
well. may be you are right, but whats the use f a category if we use a general category if we have a more relative one in the list? Any ways, adbrite sucks and we all know this(but accepted this only after we found better alternatives to adbrite for proxified pages)
