If your using this script proxylistscript
You will know it shows the OLD proxies at the top. If you want the newest proxies at the top (which is better)
open up

/php/curently_active_proxies.php
Go to line 25 where you find this

Code:

$query = "SELECT * FROM submission ORDER BY `hits` DESC;";

Change to

Code:

$query = "SELECT * FROM submission ORDER BY `time` DESC;";

That will put the newest ones at the top.

If you want them randomized. Change it too

Code:

$query = "SELECT * FROM submission ORDER BY rand()";

*note that rand() is not good is if your sql table is quite large as it'll use more server cpu.

The thing with this script is that if people click on the link countless times, it will make the listed site go up.

Nah, when I bought this, it was the best listing script but now there is plenty script such as promypromo, atproxy, php proxylistpro.

I have decided to hire a coder to code a proxy list script for my proxywhereabouts.com site so that it would be different from the others. Also, I did bought php proxylist pro as it got paypal IPN integrated.

I am looking to get a topsite custom coded as well, been seeing too many proxypromo script around, doesnt look that unique anymore.

I know you would like this small tweak, I was going to PM you about this thread but you have found your way already. I see you have implemented it already and it looks great. you will not have problem no more of people cheating it by clicking it over and over as its does't sort anymore by hits. Happy

Yeah, I dont quite like proxypromo script too. But I do favor php proxylist pro script as it looks promising. Happy
