You see, rather than having 1 728x90 banner, you will get more CTR with 468x90 and they might show different ads so your user have the advantage to choose between two. nevertheless, that's just my thought.

I have heard of some secret tips from some insider source that to work well on yieldmanagers ad company networks. Placing just 1 728*90 banner would greatly increase your eCPM rather than placing 2 468*60 banners. In yieldmanager networks, GI, BannerConnect, mediashakers they pay the lowest eCPM for 468*60 banners.

Two separate ones are always better... more ctr and ecpm. If dont believe then try but use different ad zones if adbrite.
